Sunday ! Is Frappe day - Mocha Frappe Recipe

The word FrappĂ© in French literally means ‘iced’ and it originated in the mid 19th century. Though we now associate the word with a cold coffee drink, it was traditionally used to describe any partly frozen drink (such as a fruit juice) or a liqueur served over shaved ice.

But the coffee one we know was invented  by a Nestle employee based on a Greek coffee drink. Well what ever it came from here's a recipe :

  ** Mocha  Frappe Coffee

  • 1 1/2 C Cold Coffee
  • 2 C whole milk
  • 1/4 C Chocolate Syrup
  • 1/4 C sugar
  • whipped cream

  1. Pour coffee into an ice cube tray. Freeze until solid, 3 to 4 hours.
  2. Place frozen coffee cubes in a blender. Add milk, chocolate syrup, and sugar; blend until smooth.
  3. Pour coffee mixture into 2 glasses and top with whipped cream.
