Cinnamon Sledges for Breakfast













It's Saturday Morning ! Everyone is sleeping in  but Mom's in the kitchen ;


Cinnamon Sledges

1 C butter
1/2 C packed Brown sugar
1 Egg / seperated
1 T cinnamon
1/4 t Salt
11/2 C pecans /chopped 
2 C AP flour


Preheat oven 300     

Cream butter & sugar & egg yolk. In another bowl mix flour,cinnamon,salt. Mix together -this dough will be stiff.  Spread into a baking pan. Beat egg whites until foamy and spread on top of dough. Sprinkle chopped pecans over & press in gently. Bake 35-40 minutes -Cut into bars to serve,
